As part of National EMS Week, May 19th – 25th , the Office of Emergency Medical Services, in collaboration with the Council of Regional Chairpersons (the 5 Regional EMS councils) will be hosting EMS Day at the State Capitol in Hartford on Monday, May 20th from 0900 through 1500 hours promoting EMS awareness. The annual State EMS Awards Ceremony will also take place that day at 1030 hours in the State Capitol in the Old Judiciary Room. All are welcome to attend the presentation of the awards. We also encourage everyone to come dressed in your services Dress Uniform. Be sure to schedule a meeting with your State Legislators for that day and personally escort them to visit the displays, but most importantly that they know to attend the EMS Awards ceremonies as well.
