CT EMS Expo
The Council of Regional Chairpersons, along with OEMS is proud to announce the date for the 2014 CT EMS Expo! The Expo will be hels on May 29-31, 2014 at the Mohegan Sun.The Connecticut EMS Expo comes from an initiative by CORC, the Council of Regional Chairpersons, with the support of the State of Connecticut Department of Public Health Office of Emergency Medical Services. CORC is made up of the five EMS Regional Council Presidents in Connecticut. The Connecticut EMS Expo is a subcommittee of CORC.
CORC knew that in order for this EMS Expo to be a success it would require many resources coming together as ONE. This is why we approached the board of the CT EMS Foundation. The Foundation had been responsible for running the CT EMS Conference for many years in Cromwell. We needed their support and expertise. We're proud to say we are working as ONE. We are proud to say they are going to merge into our ONE initiative too. We are already in communication with other groups such the EMS for Children Conference and we hope that they will be interested in coming together as ONE too.
Please look for more information on this site, or go to www.ctemsexpo.org or you can find us on Facebook or Twitter. This is where we see the EMS Community coming together as ONE. Where you'll have Opportunities for Networking and Education
More than 250 television and radio broadcasters from throughout the state attended the 58th Convention of the Connecticut Broadcasters Association on October 17, 2013 at the Hilton Hartford Hotel. Members heard from Keynote Speaker Sen. Richard Blumenthal and a variety of sales, engineering, and broadcast experts. During the convention, the Connecticut Broadcasters Association honored major "first responder" organizations for their service and dedication to Connecticut residents year-round: the Connecticut EMS Advisory Board; the Connecticut National Guard; the Connecticut Police Chiefs Association; the Connecticut State Firefighters Association; and the Connecticut State Police; and the U.S. Coast Guard.
OEMS has issued a Communication regarding Patient and EMS Provider Safety during Ambulance Transports. This has some important safety guidelines to assist agencies in developing policies and procedures that will improve the safety of patients and personnel in the ambulance patient compartment during transport.
